Ringing Sub-committee

The Ringing Sub-committee is established by Regulation  5b of the Ely DA Rules and Regulations. It is responsible to the General Committee and it's responsibilities include:

• co-ordinating ringing for national and EDA events,

• organizing competition teams (such as the Ridgman Trophy)

• promoting the EDA-wide activities including 10 and 12 bell ringing, handbell ringing, peal or quarter peal weeks

• supporting individual districts and members in their ringing goals

• deciding if peals are to be accepted by the Association if there is a question of eligibility

• writing and reviewing rules for Association Striking Competitions.

The sub-committee consists of the Association Ringing Master (as chair), the Peal Secretary, the Quarter Peal Secretary and the 4 District Ringing Masters.

From 2025, the membership is:

• Association Ringing Master: Dave Richards (chair)

• Peal Secretary: Nicholas A Elks

• Quarter Peal Secretary: Ben Willetts

• Cambridge District Ringing Master: Jonathan Agg/Graham Louth (only one to attend)

• Ely District Ringing Master: Lesley H M Boyle

• Huntingdon District Ringing Master: Andrew Smith/Cathy Moulton (on,y one to attend)

• Wisbeach District Ringing Master: Paul Barker
